Baldwinsville Public Library (Onondaga Co.)
The Baldwinsville Public Library received $3,916 from the $800,000 Public Library Construction Grant Program for the installation of a custom-made oak book drop and closet for storage. The original book drop was constructed of sheet metal. Books deposited by patrons during normal operating hours created so much noise that the book drop had to be secured except during closing hours to eliminate the disruption. The new book drop has been constructed of a much quieter material and can be used during normal hours with out disruption to library staff and patrons. The overall project increases the effectiveness of library services and improves the space with in the library for patrons.
