Altamont Free Library (Albany Co.)
The Altamont Public Library received $4,523 from the $800,000 Public Library Construction Grant Program to replace the sewer connection. The library is on its way to a rehabilitation project, and the waste disposal system replacement is a necessary step. The old system was not compliant with code, and needed replacement. The new system will be more efficient and will provide the framework for further improvements.
