Instructions for Finding Information
in the "Visit the State Library's Web Site" Section of the Winter 2005 Issue:

  1. Renew your driver’s license. Check out the New York State DMV Internet Office.

    Go to Electronic Resources and click on Internet Bibliographies. From this list, select Government – New York State, and follow the first link to New York State Government Web Sites and Publications. The link to the DMV is listed alphabetically under Motor Vehicles, Department of.

  2. Learn more about New York State Canals. Discover the history of the Erie Canal.

    Go to Electronic Resources and click on Internet Bibliographies. From this list, select Government – New York State, and browse “Information by Subject”. Select the subject Tourism and then find the link to the New York State Canals.

  3. Read it online. Select from over 13,000 eBooks on the Project Gutenberg Web site.
