PDF Files and Adobe Reader
PDF files
Most materials in the Library's Digital Collections, and some documents on the Library's Web site are Adobe PDF files. PDF (portable document format) is modeled after the PostScript language and is device and resolution independent.
Adobe Reader
Forms and publications in the PDF format can be viewed, navigated and printed from a workstation using Adobe Reader software from Adobe Systems Inc. Versions of Adobe Reader run on Windows, Macintosh, Unix/Linux, mobile systems. You can download the various versions directly from Adobe (www.adobe.com
), which should always have the latest versions of Acrobat Reader. (The Adobe Reader
download page has options for selecting different versions of the reader.)
